When things are not working out in your life it is natural to slip into wanting to know why. It can become a life long journey to figure it out. Many people suffer in the process. Many believe that something is wrong with them. The questions roll over and over in their minds. I know that was the case for me. Quietly suffering in silence as I tried to figure out what was wrong with me.
I thought if I could figure it out I could fix the problem and then I could help others. It was always about finding that root and ripping it out.
The problem though, became a problem because the focus was looking for the root! All of my attention focused on what was wrong and how I was going to fix it.
It seemed that if I didn’t find that root, I could never really be happy. I believed that thought for a long time…… and then I woke up!
I came to understand that all my attention to figuring it out was keeping me from being who I really am. Because the problems really come from forgetting.
Forgetting who you really are!
So here is a better solution. Focus on what’s good! Focus on what you can appreciate. Notice what puts a smile on your face and do more of that. Acknowledge what you love and share with others. And as one of my teachers said “make peace with what you hold inside”
When I stopped trying to figure it out and spent more time noticing what’s good, everything started changing. Its easy to make peace when you feel good.
However, for me, It wasn’t easy. I had a lot of beliefs in place and some of those supported the work that I do. I had been trained to pull roots.
So here’s a new thought…..
There is nothing wrong with you. You do not need to be fixed. No roots need to be pulled to find joy.
It’s ok to be happy.
That doesn’t mean that people don’t need some help in dismantling false beliefs and get the occasional swipe of smelling salts to help you wake up. Its easy to forget when you have years of listening to false truths. Its easy to get stuck in the trances of fear, when so much around you supports it.
That’s why I am here, to remind you, support you, and help you snap out of the trance and wake up to who you really are.
Cal me today, start change tomorrow.
